Break the chains of oppression for a woman living in generational poverty in Paraguay. Help her realize her dreams and full potential by becoming financially independent through the provision of a loan in a supportive and accountable community. She will also learn financial principles and marketable skills. Emotional support and spiritual discipleship is also provided through a chaplain and the local church.
Provide hands-on vocational training so that women in Paraguay and India can learn marketable skills such as baking, sewing, hairdressing, etc. Women are mentored and also taught to efficiently purchase materials, price their final product at fair market value, and sell it in their communities to generate income.
Provide training in simple hygiene practices to those who receive a water well, demonstrating how habits like open defecation, washing hands without using soap, or storing clean water improperly can be harmful to their health and cause many of the illnesses commonly experienced in their villages.
Provide the hand pump head and the mechanism for bringing the water to the surface for one basic well.
In villages where the well depth is greater than approximately 70m, the hand pump technology does not suffice and a generator is required to power the well. Give a generator so that these villages too can have access to safe potable drinking water.
Engage communities in discussion around gender roles and domestic violence in order to promote equality between men and women, healthy communication and peaceful relationships in the home.
Resource and empower 15 local Paraguayan women entrepreneurs with training and a micro-finance loan to grow their businesses and faith in community with one another.
Send a 40-foot container to those affected by a crisis or a calamity, providing approximately 1 million servings of Gleaners’ Soup Mix. At the same time, support our partners as they share the love of Christ while distributing aid, in partnership with the local church.
